My Roles:
Co-Writer | Director of Cinematography | Editor
"Two friends, separated by grief, finally reunite - but one is hiding a dark secret in their bedroom"
Brain Breach was created in a little over two months, as part of the Core Production Skills module of Level 4 Film. The premise was pitched by our director, Caitlin Pearson, who then collaborated with us as a group to turn it into a production-ready script. Harry Nicholas acted as executive producer, and managed to secure us two wonderful leading actors from a local drama school -  Rachel Banaszczyk and Dominic Jake Cooper. Cally Coxon was our lighting, sound and foley tech, and also provided graphics, artwork, and set design. Some of the posters on set were also designed by myself.
This was my first time taking on the responsibility of director of cinematography, so I chose to push myself to be as creative as possible. We spent weeks experimenting, rehearsing, and challenging ourselves so that our technical capabilities matched our ambition and the strength of our script.
We are incredibly proud of the outcome, and it received high praise when we screened it to film students of all levels at Leeds Trinity University. We learnt so much making this short film, and cannot wait to keep developing our craft on projects to come.
