My Roles:
Live Camera Operator | Videographer | Photographer
To support the launch of Ricardo Barker’s powerful new film Mind The Gap, I was brought on to provide video coverage of two key events: a private screening at Leeds Trinity University, and a live-streamed public launch broadcast from the university’s television studio.
For the private screening, I worked alongside Cally Coxon to capture key moments from the event using a multi-camera setup. This included speeches by Ricardo Barker, the university’s vice-chancellor, and other contributors, as well as a post-film Q&A session. In addition to video, I also captured a range of stills throughout the event to help document the occasion.
Later in the month, I acted as camera operator for the live online launch. Using a shoulder rig, I was able to move dynamically around the studio, capturing interviews, Q&As, and behind-the-scenes moments — even stepping into the gallery mid-broadcast to film live interviews with the crew in action.
It was a real privilege to be involved in the release of such an insightful and important project.
